Confined Spaces: Fundamentals for the Entry Team-Virtual

Permit-entry confined spaces present many unique hazards and are dangerous to workers if employers do not properly evaluate, plan, and manage entries. Employers must ensure that a team approach is always utilized, measures are taken to minimize hazardous conditions warranting emergency rescue, and that entrants can be immediately rescued. This course will review the roles and responsibilities of entry team members, and the various principles and requirements under a Permit Entry Confined Space program. This course addresses BOTH General Industry and Construction, and is intended for authorized entrants, attendants, entry-supervisors, managers, supervisors, superintendents, foremen, safety personnel, and rescue personnel. Topics include:
  • Recognizing, evaluating and identifying permit required confined spaces

  • Roles and responsibilities of authorized entrants, attendants, entry-supervisors, and rescue personnel
  • Pre-planning and entry-permits
