For the safety and well-being of participants and instructors, the South Dakota Safety Council has suspended all in-person training through May 18, 2020. This is a fluid situation that we are monitoring closely. As we learn more about the course of COVID-19, we will update the schedule, information and training options.
We're here to help employers and workers, families and communities reduce unintentional injuries ("accidents"). Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death for South Dakotans ages 1 - 39, taking the lives of nearly 500 South Dakotans each year, disabling many more, and sending tens of thousands to emergency departments and hospitals.

The South Dakota Safety Council, a chapter of the National Safety Council, is a private, not-for-profit organization, established in 1949. It operates in partnership with the Minnesota Safety Council, which allows both organizations to share programs and maximize resources.
