WHAT IS DISTRACTED DRIVING?

Have you eaten lunch, read a billboard, or checked on your new baby sleeping in the back seat while driving? Have you ever sent or received a text or updated your Facebook status while driving? There are three main types of distraction:

Visual: taking your eyes off the road

Manual: taking your hands off the wheel

Cognitive: taking your mind off what you're doing

Distracted driving is any non-driving activity that takes your focus away from the primary task of driving.
