Jeffrey Bennett    
Jeffrey is the Corporate Safety Director for TEC Corp / Thompson Electric Company - Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota. Jeff has been working in the construction and electrical industry for 30 years, and is an experienced trainer specializing in Electrical Safety and Arc Flash. His training programs are informative and based upon real world experiences. Jeff currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Iowa Illinois Safety Council, and the NECA Safety Council in Nebraska.

Cindy Braun, CSP, CHMM and CET    
Cindy Braun, CSP, CHMM and CET has fifteen years' experience teaching for the National Safety Council, Boeing Airlines and others. She is based in Littleton, Colorado.

Shawn Burress    
With over 25 yearsÂ’ experience in the hazardous materials and emergency response industries, Shawn is uniquely qualified to lead Burress Advisory Group. He brings a wealth of education and experience into both the classroom and field training. Our instructors/consultants have national and international training experience as well as extensive field experience. Our staff members have performed training and emergency response work in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America as well as in all 50 States. Each of our instructors currently engage in emergency response field-work as firefighters, emergency medical technicians, hazardous materials technicians/specialists, or specialize in confined space or high angle rescue situations. They conduct training in their respective fields.

JoAnn Dankert, ASP, CHMM, CET    
Senior Consultant, National Safety Council
Ms. Dankert is a safety professional with 30 years of diversified experience covering the electronics, food, pharmaceutical, chemical and distribution industries. With responsibilities spanning the safety, health and environmental fields, Ms. Dankert functioned as a results-oriented manager who designed and implemented cost effective solutions to the safety and health challenges business and industry face on a daily basis. Her background in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards has positioned her to help businesses integrate safety, health and environmental practices into their operations.

As Senior Consultant at the National Safety Council, Ms. Dankert is responsible for providing field consulting, auditing and training services geared towards solving a variety of safety and health challenges. Ms. Dankert has hands-on experience in providing industrial hygiene and ergonomic audits, compliance and safety management system assessments, training, program development and plan implementation to the shop floor. She is an OSHA General Industry and Construction Outreach Trainer with the National Safety Education Center.

Jim Harner    
Defensive Driving Instructor
Jim is a National Safety Council certified Defensive Driving Instructor. He has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and History and a Master's Degree in Public School Administration. He has thirty four years of experience as a classroom teacher and secondary school administrator. He has been teaching defensive driving classes in South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and North Dakota for 20 years.

Dr. Carter Kerk, CSP, CPE    
Associate Professor, Industrial Engineering, SD School of Mines and Technology. Dr. Kerk is the past Chair of OSHA's National Advisory Council on Ergonomics.

Dale Kluver    
Dale provides training and consulting on a variety of industrial safety topics to businesses and organizations throughout the midwest. Dale has more than 25 years experience and specializes in machine safety, confined space entry and fire safety.

Garry Kroft, CSP    
Garry Kroft is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with a masters degree in safety from UW-Stout. He has 30 years of safety experience, helping hundreds of companies improve their safety and health policies and programs. He currently works in the construction risk control area and remains active in the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

Tim Neubauer, CSP    
Tim is the President of Evolution Safety Resources. As a safety professional with over 17 years of field experience, Tim started out as a laborer and thus has a unique view of hazards and solutions to overcome them. He is a former Senior Consultant for the National Safety Council and spent four years at the national/international level. Tim has been a Safety Coordinator, Safety Manager, Safety Trainer, and a Safety Director for several different companies. He has been a Safety Consultant and Instructor for the Safety and Health Council of NC for more than eight years and has worked in both general industry and construction environments.

Tim is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) who specialized in the construction health and safety field. He has achieved the Manager of Environmental Safety and Health (MESH) and a CMESH designation. Tim is also an Advanced Safety Certificate (ASC) Instructor for the National Safety Council in addition to being a trainer for the OSHA Outreach Training Institute in several regions. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) as well as the former Chairman of the Safety Committee for the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA).

Arlyn Poppen, CSP    
Arlyn Poppen is Principal of Practical Process Safety, LLC, Eagan, MN. He retired in 2008 as Associate Corporate EHS Engineer after a 40 year career with 3M. He has authored numerous papers, hazard assessment tools, and training programs on process safety related topics and is a Certified Safety Professional.

Stefan Salmonson, PPS    
Stefan V. Salmonson, is the president of PROtective Services, Inc. He is a licensed deputy sheriff/tactical trainer, licensed private detective, licensed protective agent, certified personal protection specialist (Body Guard), international security consultant, experienced weapons and operational specialist, contract government investigator (with security clearance), airline transport pilot and professional speaker. PROS provides executive and personal protection services, high-risk employment termination support services, discrete investigations, security presentations, training, keynote presentations, security assessments, consulting and risk management recommendations for several hundred clients.

Stefan writes security related articles for publications and is frequently interviewed by journalists regarding security concerns. Clients include national/international corporations, government agencies, foreign royalty, public utilities, school districts/student transportation, flight department/associations, prisons, hospitals, financial institutions, media, the trucking, real estate and insurance industry.

Tom Slattery, CSP, ARM, is a Certified Safety Professional with more than 20 years' experience developing and leading successful safety and compliance programs.

Amber Vandersnick, OHST, SMS    
Amber has an Associate's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University as well as two Bachelor of Science degrees from South Dakota State University (Agriculture/Animal Science and Biological Science). She is an OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer and has a certificate in Safety Inspection Techniques from the OSHA Training Institute in San Diego. Amber has also earned the South Dakota Workplace Safety Certificate and the National Safety Council's Advanced Safety Certificate. Shes also a certified First Aid/ CPR/AED Instructor. Amber's hands-on experience includes 10 years as a health, safety, security and environmental manager.
